The unfolding drama began when Mokotów police apprehended a young man with marijuana, leading them to the unsuspecting flower seller. The 48-year-old was conducting her illicit business discreetly within the floral façade.
The flower shop on ul. Wałbrzyska had attracted the attention of intelligence officers, who observed a nervous young man entering the premises and leaving without flowers but with a concealed substance. Swift police intervention exposed the marijuana transaction, prompting a confession from the apprehended individual.
Upon entering the flower shop, police discovered the florist’s hidden stash of drugs, which included hashish and amphetamine. The combined street value of the seized narcotics exceeded PLN 100,000. In addition to the narcotics, officers secured cash amounting to PLN 82,300.
Facing charges that could result in up to 10 years of imprisonment, the florist pleaded guilty to the offenses. As a preventive measure, the District Court for Warsaw Mokotów ordered her temporary arrest. The unexpected intersection of flowers and illicit substances sheds light on the unexpected corners where criminal activities may flourish.”
