Bakery Elektrownia Powiśle

Elektrownia Powiśle, Powiśle

Indulge in a slice of Italy at Elektrownia Powiśle, where ‘Bakery’ has expanded its culinary prowess after previous successes in Wilanow and Browary Warszawkie. The new flagship location offers a delectable menu featuring Italian delights such as panettone from Milan, Tuscan bomboloni, Roman pizza, Venetian cornetto, and ciabatta. What sets this artisan bakery and Italian-style bistro apart is their commitment to using natural, long-aged sourdough, including the meticulously prepared lievito madre for panettone. Every baked treat is crafted on-site by hand, using carefully selected premium ingredients. This place means business! Notably, ‘Bakery’ introduces all-day breakfasts from 8:00 to 16:00 for the first time, inviting you to savor the flavors of Italy at any hour. Brilliant!

Rano

Stalowa 47, Praga

A small bakery in Praga was founded by Weronika Nogańska, an enthusiast of good bread. For years, she missed a real bakery, and because Weronika loves bread, she decided to start baking it herself. It turned out that they were not the only ones who missed such a bakery – currently, to buy bread at Rano, you have to be there right after opening, and it is best to reserve your favorite loaves and buns via e-mail or Facebook fanpage. What guests like most about the Rano bakery is the opportunity to watch how the bread is made – all loaves are baked in front of customers. So there is a lot to see and, above all, to try – because in addition to great bread, you will also eat great buns and drink good coffee in the morning.

Chaud Pain

Ossolińskich 3 and Al. Niepodległości 142a, Downtown

Baguettes, sweet brioche with honey and roasted almonds, croissants – you can try these and many other delicacies at Chaud Pain. The Project Warszawa group is behind the creation of the bakery, and Paweł Albert is responsible for the flavor compositions of the local baked goods. As the owners point out, the recipes they use to bake bread and all kinds of sweets are based on age-old and proven recipes from France. All baked goods can be purchased on site or ordered for home delivery. An ideal solution for those who value blissful mornings with fresh, hot bread, but do not have the strength or time to get up earlier. Pop in also to their kiosk on Plac Konstytucji 6 for a quick takeaway option!

Cała w Mące

Krasińskiego 18c, Zoliborz

Monika Walecka probably needs no introduction. Every day, people from Warsaw queue up to visit her bakery , and in the afternoon it is difficult to buy any bread here. Sourdough bread is baked every day, and you will recognize its characteristic, deeply toasted crust everywhere. Here you will find loaves made with whole grain flour, as well as spelled, emmer and einkorn seeds. The bread ferments for about 20 hours before it goes into the oven . Nevertheless, this tedious and time-consuming process is worth every crumb of Monica’s bread. The locals cant get enough of this place!

Będzie Dobrze

Puławska 23/25, Downtown

Savor the crunch of some of the best baguettes in the capital, indulge in sourdough rye apple bread, or relish fragrant wholemeal bread at ‘It Will Be OK‘ (translation into English). Located in Stary Mokotów, this bakery has quickly gained a devoted following with its delectable offerings. The duo behind it, Dagmara Rosiak aka Głodna Daga and Borys aka Lord Bejker, has created a haven for bread enthusiasts. Beyond the enticing bread selection, patrons can enjoy sweet or savory buns and cakes inspired by global recipes. With carefully selected suppliers contributing to an impressive array of jams, preserves, bread spreads, natural juices, and granola, this place is a worthy candidate for this list.
