A shocking murder has shaken the Mokotów district of Warsaw. On the morning of May 16, police received a distressing call from a man unable to contact his 81-year-old mother. Officers rushed to her ground-floor apartment on Bryły Street, finding the doors locked and no response from inside. Entering through a window, they discovered the elderly woman’s body on the floor, bearing visible injuries that confirmed a violent death.
Police swiftly identified and arrested the suspect—a 50-year-old man, the victim’s son. He has been charged with murder and placed in temporary custody for three months. The Warsaw-Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation. While specific details remain undisclosed, reports suggest the crime was particularly gruesome, with the victim allegedly found with a bag over her head and missing fingers.
