In May 2024, Joanna and Piotr’s world was turned upside down when their one-year-old daughter, Laura, was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer. Despite a successful surgery, their relief was short-lived as doctors discovered the cancer had spread to her spinal cord and meninges. Now, they face a desperate battle and urgent appeal to save her life, with the cost of treatment exceeding PLN 1,400,000. The funds must be raised by the end of August. As of today, donations amount to 800,000 PLN with 5 days remaining.
Laura was born healthy, bringing joy to her parents. But in May, alarming symptoms led to a devastating diagnosis. Immediate surgery removed the tumor, but Laura could no longer eat on her own and required a feeding tube. Further tests revealed the most malignant form of cancer, rapidly spreading despite intensive chemotherapy.
A consultation with a specialist in the U.S. offered hope: continued chemotherapy, followed by a stem cell transplant and treatment abroad, could save her. The Bambino Gesu clinic in Rome has agreed to treat her, but the cost is overwhelming.
Laura’s parents are desperate, and time is running out. Every donation counts in their fight to save her life. Follow the link to donate…https://www.siepomaga.pl/laura-gryz
