Masked Thieves Strike in Warsaw, Making Off with Nearly 2 Million PLN

In a brazen daylight robbery on Tuesday, April 23, on ul. Koszykowa in Warsaw, masked assailants targeted a man standing near one of the tenement houses, making off with a bag containing a staggering sum of almost PLN 2 million. According to reports from “Super Express,” the incident unfolded around 2:00 PM when a car pulled up at Koszykowa 49A. Two masked individuals emerged from the vehicle, assaulted the man, and forcefully seized his bag before fleeing the scene.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, informed authorities that the stolen bag contained approximately PLN 400,000 in euros, equivalent to nearly PLN 2 million. Despite the swift police response, details regarding the whereabouts of the perpetrators remain undisclosed. Sgt. pcs. Jakub Pacyniak from the Warsaw I District Police Headquarters confirmed the occurrence of a criminal incident, stating, “At the moment, this is the only thing I can tell you.”

Additional unofficial reports from the City Reporter, shared on Facebook, suggest that the victim of the robbery is a Ukrainian citizen. The audacious nature of the theft, coupled with the substantial sum involved, has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the need for heightened vigilance and security measures to safeguard against such brazen acts of criminality
